Airplane

The nearest airports are in Ancona, Rimini and Bologna.

Ancona-Falconara Airport “Raffaello Sanzio”

From the terminal take the shuttle bus to the Ancona railroad station. Take the train to Pesaro and then the bus to Urbino.

From the terminal take the shuttle bus to the Rimini railroad station. Take the train to Pesaro and then the bus to Urbino.

From the terminal take the shuttle bus to the Bologna railroad station. Take the train to Pesaro and then the bus to Urbino.

Car

From North

From North (for ex. Bologna, Rimini), Adriatica Highway A14, exit at the Pesaro-Urbino tool booth, go on along the SS 423 following the signs to Urbino for about 30km after the motorway exit.

From South-East

From South-East (for ex. Ancona) along the Adriatica Highway A14, exit at the Fano tool booth, to proceed along the Flaminia SS N.3, and follow the road signs to Rome; go on entering the Flaminia SS N.3 (E-78) until its end ( near to Canavaccio 11km far from Urbino). Proceed on the main street passing Canavaccio, after 6kms you will arrive to an intersection that allows you to go straight on towards Urbino.

From South-West

From South-West along the Rome-Florence A1 (for ex. From Rome, Perugia, Gubbio) along the Flaminia SS N.3 (E-78), following the signs to Fano; after the exit to the Furlo and Calmazzo proceed towards Urbino.

From West

From West (for ex. Florence, Arezzo, Sansepolcro, Città di Castello) from the E-45 highway, at the S. Giustino exit take the SS 73 bis heading toward Urbino and Urbania. At Palazzo dei Maschi continue on the SS 73 bis. Proceed passing through Urbania and reach Fermignano before arriving at the intersection toward Urbino.

Bus

You can directly reach Urbino through extra-urban bus service departing from Pesaro: the bus stops are in front of the railroad station. Many bus lines that pass through Urbino come from Fano, but some of them come from Rome and from the South (for ex. Calabria). In the downtown urban public transport services (given from the Adriabus lines) are available.

Taxi

Taxies are available in the square in front of the Pesaro railroad station. In Urbino, instead, the Taxi service is available in Piazza Della Repubblica and in Borgo Mercatale.

Train

There is not an express train that reaches Urbino. Taking the Adriatica railway line Bologna-Ancona-Bari get off at the Pesaro or Fano railroad station and continue toward Urbino by bus (there are connections all day long in front of the Pesaro railroad station area). Coming from Rome you can reach first Ancona and then Pesaro, or as an alternative get off at the Fossato di Vico- Gubbio railroad station and then take the bus to Urbino.
